Telemedicine

 What is Telemedicine?

Telemedicine or telehealth is the exchange of private medical information using various forms of electronic communication depending on your state’s regulations. Such as:

  • Two-way video on a computer or smartphone
  • Text
  • Email
  • Phone

Using telemedicine is quite simple. It is similar to using zoom or face time but in order to protect patient information, Dr. Charfen and most healthcare systems use only secure, HIPAA-compliant* telemedicine platforms.

Treatable Conditions

Telemedicine is appropriate in a wide variety of situations. Dr. Charfen treats minor healthcare issues in addition to more serious or chronic disease. She also provides non-medical consultations and inquiries via telehealth as well. Here is a detailed list of conditions that are treatable via telemedicine. The list is not all-inclusive so feel free to inquire.
