Let’s Talk Story About Wishes for Care at the End of Life

Face it: this is a conversation people don’t want to have. It’s a taboo subject. It’s a discussion many put off for too long.

Jeannette Koijane, of Kōkua Mau, will be our expert speaker to lead this discussion at the Life & Death Wellness Center. Kōkua Mau, Hawaii’s go-to source for information on hospice and palliative care, has launched a new program to help communities in starting to have those difficult discussions. (Kōkua Mau means ‘Continuous Care‘ in Hawaiian.) Its goal is to help individuals and families understand decisions they may need to make, and to find resources and information in our community for talking about their wishes for the care they want at the end of life. Learn how to talk with your loved ones about what matters most to you. Share with your doctor about the kind of care you want to receive. You’ll feel more confident and ready for the future.
